We finally got the news from our local government that we are able to get out of our homes and into the back county. I took advantage of that by heading over to Montana. The mountain trails are pretty rugged at 7,500 feet elevation. The bike rack performed perfectly! The 40 degree angle allowed me to take full advantage of the ZR2’s capability. I never hit the trail with the bike or bike rack even on some severe trail sections. Very impressive! The rack held the bike securely, and I didn’t have to worry about the bike falling off while on the trail or driving 70 mph down the highway.
Lowering the rack with the bike still attached was very convenient. That feature caught the attention of several people when I stopped to refuel and add ice to the ice chest. The simplicity is wonderful.
