iSi Hitch Stabilizing System

1 Place two drops of Selleys 5 Minute Araldite epoxy adhesive at each corner of the hitch stabilizer clamping plate.

Do not allow any adhesive near the hole in the middle of the clamping plate.

2 Insert the clamping pad into the pivot base tube as shown and align with the pivot base tube security pin hole.

Insert the locking set screw until the end just protrudes through the security pin hole on the opposite side of the pivot base tube.

Push the locking set screw to set the stabilizing pad against the inner tube wall.

3

Insert a nut over the end of the locking set screw and tighten by hand to secure the clamping plate against the inside tube wall.

Allow enough time for the adhesive to set fully. When the adhesive has set, remove the nut and locking set screw.

In the next step, the locking set screw will be inserted from the opposite direction.

4 Insert the pivot base into the receiver tube.

Place the locking washer over the set screw and install the set screw from the opposite direction to the previous step.

If necessary, slide the stainless steel spacer sheet between the bottom of the pivot base tube and the hitch receiver to take up any excess clearance.

Tighten the set screw fully (100 ft-lb)

5 Install the first nut onto the set screw and tighten finger tight.

Install the second nut and tighten against the first nut to lock both together.

Hint - use a wrench on each nut to tighten against each other.

There should be no movement of the pivot tube inside the hitch receiver.

6 Check for tightness after approximately 10km driving and again after 50km.

Check periodically for any sign of additional movement inside the hitch receiver.
